The following questions were received for Request for Quote (RFQ) FA226326Q0017, Dual Axis Digital Autocollimator, and are answered below.

Solicitation Amendment 0001 - 10 July 2026 Question: 05 August 2026 is less than a month away.

It seems like a hard deadline in the documents, but it's much sooner than we expected for this.

Is there any chance to push it later by a month?

Answer: The solicitation has been extended 30 days.

Offers must be received no later than 04 September 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT.

Please ensure to review and submit the required AMENDED documents when preparing your response.

Solicitation Amendment 0002 – 27 July 2026 Question: 3.1.

User Interface: The DADA shall have an LCD Display with PC user interface controls.

Which is preferred: 1) Laptop; or, 2) 19” Rack Mount PC?

Answer: 3.1 – PC is only required if it is the LCD display.

If so, ideally it is a laptop.

But, for this paragraph, we need the display to have an output to communicate with a PC (if it isn’t the display already).

Question: 3.2.4 The DADA Shall come with a Right-Angle Target mirror in mount.

Can the user please describe how the mirror should be set up?

Is there a sketch that shows what is meant, or can it be described again?

It's not clear to us exactly what is required.

Answer: 3.2.4 – Mirror shall be such that it can have reference feet that are perpendicular to the mirror surface, thus it can be used to measure flatness of a surface with the autocollimator. __________ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Subpart 1...

Official solicitation and documents

The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.

How to bid on this

This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.

  1. Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
  2. Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
  3. Check the set-aside listed above and confirm your business actually qualifies for it before you spend time on a proposal. See our guide to set-asides if the category is unfamiliar.
  4. Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
