Combined Sources Sought Notice and Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Fast Digitizer NAICS: 334516 PSC: 6640 ***THIS IS A COMBINED SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE*** The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research and identify potential sources of commercial products/services that satisfy the Government’s anticipated needs.

If no alternate sources are identified, the Government intends to issue a Sole Source Award to, Liquid instruments US, under the authority of Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) FAR 12.102(a).

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.

BACKGROUND The Photonics and Optomechanics Group of the Physical Measurement Laboratory at NIST develops advanced microfabricated photonic sensors for a broad range of applications.

As part of that work a fast digitizer system is required that can read an analog signal and stream the results to storage at a rate of 80 Gb per second.

The system shall include capabilities to perform control functions, centrally store data over a network, plot measurements on PC or a mobile device, be controlled using the python programming language, and be programed in a hardware description language.

NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a solution that will achieve the objectives described above, and meet the following essential requirements: Fast Digitizer System Quantity: 1 Technical Specifications: 8 analog inputs, at least 2 GHz analog bandwidth each channel with at least 5 G samples/sec each channel, at least 14-bit resolution at maximum bandwidth, 20-bits resolution at lower bandwidth.
