This purchase directly supports the Division's mission by providing the necessary laser instrumentation to maintain precision in chemical measurement research and spectroscopic analysis. The acquisition of these specific Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser components is critical to advancing the division’s ongoing experimental capabilities and high-accuracy measurements. NIST requires a Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser systems and associated hardware. These items are required to support the specialized optical and spectroscopic research requirements within the Chemical Sciences Division.
