In accordance with RFO FAR 5.101, this is a notification of a proposed sole-source contract action to Aviat U.S., Inc.
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to solicit and award on a sole source basis under the authority of RFO FAR 12.102(a) to Aviat U.S., Inc. at 200C Parker Drive, Suite 100A Austin, Texas 78728.
This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) – only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
Aviat Care WarrantyPlus Product provides manufacturer’s authorized (24/7) upper tier web-based and telephonic technical support to Coast Guard field engineers and manufacturer-approved expedited depot-level component repair for two (2) products; Aviat Pro-Vision Network Monitoring System and Fujitsu Flashwave 4100 SONET multiplexers.
Only Aviat can provide the repair of this equipment.
Aviat has the exact components to repair the broken modules and depot test equipment and supporting test procedures to ensure that the repairs make the system 100% operational.
For the Coast Guard to duplicate this function, significant resources would be needed to hire and train personnel to support the equipment.
All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
Interested vendors may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than (NLT) 1:00PM ET on Friday, 7 August 2026.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes.
Oral communications are no...
Official solicitation and documents
The full solicitation, any attachments, and the actual submission instructions live on the official listing, not on this page. Oppward summarizes public record data; it does not host or mirror the source documents.
Oppward is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov or any government agency. This page is a plain-English summary of public record data; the linked source above is the authoritative listing.
How to bid on this
This is a contract solicitation, not a grant. To bid, you submit a proposal (usually a price and a description of how you would do the work) directly to the government, through the channel the official listing specifies, not through Oppward.
- Make sure your business has an active SAM.gov registration. You cannot be paid on a federal contract without one.
- Read the full solicitation on the official listing above, especially the scope of work, not just this summary. Our guide to reading a solicitation walks through what to look for.
- This listing has no set-aside restriction ("full and open competition"), meaning any business, large or small, can bid.
- Submit your proposal by the deadline, using the exact submission method the official listing states. A technically on-time bid sent the wrong way is often treated as late.
