Request for Information (RFI) / Sources Sought Notice: Sonar Maintenance and Sustainment Sources Sought for information and planning purposes to identify qualified sources for an anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334511 – Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing.

The proposed contract vehicle is to provide life-cycle maintenance for the sonar systems and related equipment on its T-AGS 60 class ships, Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), AUVs, and HSLs to the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), located at the John C.

Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi.

NAVOCEANO operates a global fleet of six multi-mission ships, with a seventh vessel under construction.

This fleet operates on a 24/7 basis.

The sonar equipment on these ships provides critical data to meet the mission requirements of the Department of War (DoW) and other government agencies.

Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, titled “Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes”, this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice for written information only.

This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement.

This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.
