Objective The Department of Veterans Affairs, Martinsburg VA Medical Center, intends to award a single source purchase order to DIRECTV for the continued provision of cable television services supporting patient care rooms, waiting areas, and designated business locations.

Approximately 390 patient television connections 56 business television connections Continuous 24/7/365 service availability Programming required for patient comfort, satisfaction, and therapeutic care Unique Qualifications DIRECTV is the incumbent provider with an established and fully integrated satellite distribution system throughout the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

The existing infrastructure receivers, wiring, distribution equipment, and programming configurations was built and aligned over multiple years specifically for DIRECTV service.

Award information The incumbent contractor shall be provided with the opportunity to present a quote that shall be accepted as a firm fixed price agreement at the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA).

The Government anticipates the Independent Cost Estimate shall be developed and comparable with the current incumbent to justify fair and reasonable pricing.

The period of performance shall be for one base year period, with four optional years.
