What this contract is for

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source purchase order on behalf of the Defense Centers for Public Health - Aberdeen to the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries, Inc. (NAACCR), located at 2050 West Iles, Suite A, Springfield, Illinois, 62704-7412, under the authority of RFO 12.102(a), Restricting Competition. This requirement is for the purchase of the Military Aviators Cancer Study (MACS) Phase 2 and NDAA FY26 Administrative Support Coordination The Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division (AFHSD) under the Defense Health Agency (DHA) recently completed Phase 1 of the Military Aviators Cancer Study (MACS), which was required by Sec. 750 of the FY21 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Phase 1 utilized the Virtual Pooled Registry Cancer Linkage System, which is coordinated and administered by the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR), to access state cancer registry data. Consequently, a Phase 2 study is required by law to identify specific cancer risk factors within this population in accordance with Section 750 of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 NDAA. This is a notice of intent to issue this solicitation on a sole source basis. This notice of intent is NOT a Request For Quotations (RFQ). Any other firms desiring consideration must fully identify their interest and capability to provide these services no later than 26 June 2026 to the individual listed below. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
